Picket Style & Size:
There are 3 main Styles of pickets:
– Straight
– Dog-eared
– French Gothic
And there are two main picket sizes:
– 1×4 Picket:
Nominal Size: 1 inch thick by 4 inches wide
Actual Size: Usually about 3/4 inch thick by 3 1/2 inches wide
Characteristics: These are slimmer and give a more delicate appearance. They are lighter, which can make them easier to work with. They also provide a classic look for fence designs.
Usage: Ideal for more traditional or decorative fences where a lighter and less obtrusive appearance is desired.

Actual Size: Usually about 3/4 inch thick by 5 1/2 inches wide
